Engaging Elementary Students in Computer Science in a Meaningful Way

During this session participants will review a Project Based and STEAM approach to teaching Computer Science to students grades 2-5 using Scratch. The instructors will model an entry level coding project encouraging students to pull ideas/solutions from their life, define terms from VA Computer Science Standards, explore Scratch, and apply their understanding through the creation of a short animation. You'll be working for Pixar before your know it!
